“I was very impressed and pleased with the work that Klearsky did in guiding us
as a member of a consortium for our Tessitura integration, and also individually
for website integration management. Ivan and his team made what was a large and
potentially stressful project manageable, easy to understand, and most importantly
successful. Kudos to Klearsky for great work!”

The Challenge:
The Milwaukee Arts Partners consortium was formed as an equal partnership of four
organizations sharing the cost and responsibility of the ticketing and fundraising
system implementation and ongoing usage. The consortium decided that they required
external project management expertise to manage the complex implementation.

The Solution:
KlearSky was selected to execute the project management for all four arts organizations.
In addition, KlearSky provided consistent executive level guidance during the consortium
infancy.

Summary:
KlearSky was brought on at the very start of the Milwaukee Arts Partners (MAP) engagement. At the time that
KlearSky started to work with the MAP consortium only the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra
had truly signed on the dotted line and committed to the project. The challenge
was two fold: convince the other potential members to join the consortium and execute
the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra project successfully. KlearSky took this challenge
on head on and provided the project management and leadership necessary to support
both tasks.
Once the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra completed its Tessitura implementation phase,
KlearSky managed the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Florentine Opera, and First Stage
Children’s Theatre projects at the same time because they all had delivery dates
that were near each other. This meant that there were multiple project streams working
simultaneously. During the spring of 2006 KlearSky completed six major milestones
(Go Lives) in six consecutive months, never missing an important date. The complexity
of the implementation truly pushed the consortium staff and KlearSky to excel in
ways that they have not done before.
There are many unique challenges for consortiums. Organizations that are not used
to sharing data are deeply entangled and forced to do so once they have joined.
For this reason, KlearSky has continued to provide support and oversight to the
MAP consortium on an as needed basis.
